so I have gone from a total profit of $900 to a total profit of -$4 in three days of SNG's...
some really bad run downed M'er F'ers have gotten to me... I have been totally tilted by these ridiculous run downs and am sure that I have played my part in losing to some of them.
But I mean c'mon! quads ran down by quads.. My pockets to their single A in hand
Nut flush ran down by a 4 card str8 flush after the money got in on the flop???
AKh v Qh 10s... Flop comes 10h Jh 4h turn 8h riv 9h
boat killed by str8 flush
AK being outdrawn by KQ after we get it in pre...
and over and over and over...
my roll is back down just under 1k, so I will stop crying and get back after it, but I son't know how much I can take anymore...
I will try to post my Sharkscope graph up but it gets ridiuculous.. looks like a mountain range with very deep valleys...
I do play while I'm working, and I think my strategy is probably not broad enough.
I have played numerous live tournaments and have won probably 5 and cashed in a whole bunch more over the last couple of years just in AC and Vegas alone, (the bulk in AC) and my total profit from the ring games in my last 4 vegas trips exceeds $12k, but this online thing just sucks the ever lovin life out of me....
The beats truly are ridiculous... Here is one at Poker stars yesterday that was just a beauty...
raise from utg for 200 (blinds 20/40)
one caller before I act with AK... I re to 800 (i had 3,500) (squeeze)
utg calls other folds
flop comes K K 4 r
utg checks, I half pot it, he jams... with 5 6 o
turn 7
riv 8
and thats all I have to say about that

dead span
Things that have happened while I haven't posted...
Had 4 people die (friends, relatives, neighbors)
Had 2 close friends get in serious car accidents
Lost 2 friendships due to stupidity and a sense of entitlement
Started the basketball season off by having to take over the whole organization because parents are genreally lazy... and only care for their own kids teams, etc.. (there is no community anymore)
borke up a fight at a bar
Had some really awesome bacon... really. New stuff from some farm somewhere Sick!
Won Kats Friday night donkament
took 3rd in the Mook
got ran over continuously by lesser hands who had no business being in the pot at all in higher stakes SNG's (30's, 50's, 110's)
Lost 10 50 sng's - but won 4 more along that span (total profit of about $500?)
Playing some $16 tournies at Stars.. winning 3 of them, and still thinking how much I hate that site
Dealing with the noobs at FT to get this Freeroll rolling, the prizes rolling for the second half, and an overall outlook of moving forward with them for the Online tour
Figuring out where to "office" now that the warehouse is no longer in my inventory
praying for Al's safety when he takes off for his crazy 40th bash... and wishing I could be there

Congrats to Buddy Dank and his new Mustang!
I picked the link up off of Mookies site to a forum that is for Mustangers. Apparently Buddy picked up a really messed up stang, and started to restore it... The funny thing is that it's an '07!
You can read about it here. It is a brutally long thread (about 34 pages and growing). But is is well worth the read.
Buddy had his father-in-law helping him out with a bunch of body work and paint, and the people throughout the Mustang Forums helped with parts, advice, and even money. Great read to show what a group of enthusiasts, who don't even know each other will do for another fellow Mustanger.
The link takes you to a page on the thread where if you scroll down you can see before and after pictures of his car...
It looks as if there is still a lot of work to be done, adding different mods, and redoing the interior yet, but it has been very exciting following the saga...
Well Done Sir!

Mookie Rigged?
A big F U to pushmonkey who didn't push, but calledoff his stack with the ass end of a shitty draw... explain away you fucking tard, explain away...
I raised to 350 pre in late position with Jack Ace (!) to a slew of folders. he calls with A 4
flop comes 5 6 7r.. He checked, and I could n't put him on anything good. He has to bet a set here with the three to a straight, and I could possibly have an over pair, so maybe he's expecting a c-bet and check raising.
I checked to see another card. I catch the J on the turn, and he lets out 500. I shove almost enought to put him all in, and he insta shoves the last 200 or 300 in. I see the A 4 and can't really understand the play. The 8 peels off and I get down to under 1000...
I have read alot of your blogs and can't figure out a play like this. With all the shaming that goes on in these blogs about horrid play, it just kills me that it happens this way...

We are all degenerate losers!
Back from vacation and I always wonder upon return why I bothered. It really is such a pain to come back and catch up on everything that it just sometimes doesn't make any sense for leaving in the first place. The kids had a great time, the place is wonderful, and the beach is, well, the beach. But the reward doesn't seem worth the risk when I am hit with whatever comes at me when I get back. wwaaahhhhhhh. Ok I"m done.
But something struck me funny while on vacation. I had conversations with family and friends who aren't poker players. They all know what I do for a living. That is own a poker company, play poker, and other poker related things. I have played poker since they met me. I was playing at the Taj in AC back in 91 when I first met my wifes family. Often. So its no surprise.
I started this company three years ago, so that is no surprise. But it never ceases to amaze me the lack of interest, and sort of brush off I get when with the family and all are discussing about their jobs, daily lives, etc...
My brother in law is a VP of whatever for a nice sized tech company that does software pakages for Health care providers. The other one is an insurance broker in Denver who does extremely well, and the sisters husband is a psycologist for folks with subsatance abuses, because he has "life" experience with that (and I'm the degenerate).
I dont like to talk about how much I do or dont make, but I can be pretty sure I out earn all of them. But when we talk about what I do, how the industry is going, etc, etc, its like I have a hobby and not a job, or career even. Not that I mind... I think most would love to have their "hobby", whatever it is, be the vehicle for how they pay the bills, a'la Tiger Woods, but I think you get the point.
I don't think non-poker players even have a clue of how much money there is in poker as a business. I'm not talking about just playing and winning tournaments and ring games... god (as well of most of us), understand what a grind that can be.
What I refer to is the fact of the business opportunities there are inside of this little category known as poker. Selling things, marketing to huge databases, etc... In 2006 Google said that poker was the most searched word. Not Tits, Ass, or Christ... POKER
I can't believe that poker has an auora of shame or guilt around it that people play, either online, or live but still don't like to broadcast it much.
I run a free roll poker tour, and it amazes me that people assume that most of the players on the tour are college kids, of just 21-30 year bar hoppers with nothing to do. Nothing could be further from the truth. We have more women, and more 45+ folks that play on the tour than any other demographic.
I guess it's just me being defensive, but who is anyone to begrudge anyone else a living, or judge someone on how they make that living, save the lack of legality in what you do...
whats also amazes me is that people still think that poker as it stands today is a fad. And that there is a bubble that will burst and peoples interst in poker will fade away. Let me tell you, I have been warned by numerous people throughout my companies life that people will stop playing. Let me also tell you, as I'm sure I don't have to, that as long as there is money and fame on the line that is attainable for as little as a $1 satellite on an online poker site, well, we do after all live in America...
Done ranting... for now
